Job Description

Summary

This job involves leading engineering teams to manage projects, resources, and maintenance for Navy ships, ensuring everything meets safety and operational standards.

Key Requirements

Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level/pay band NH-03 (GS-13) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional Engineer managing projects and programs, managing resources, construction and repair to ensure regulations and standards are maintained for Navy ships.

  • You will develop and maintain policy and guidance to govern the full interoperability of engineering and technical services provided to the Fleet.
  • You will oversee planning, development, training, deployment and operations for surface ship engineering programs within the RMCs.
  • You will develop technical policies for fire safety that support contracting strategies employed for surface ship maintenance.
  • You will review justification statements, organizational charts and metrics developed by the Engineering Department.
