Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning and executing forest protection and wildlands fire management programs, coordinating fire management activities, and integrating these programs and activities with interagency partners to support the mission.

- You will serve as the subject matter expert and technical advisor to the Head of the Environmental Conservation Branch and coordinates forest protection and wildlands fire management planning.
- You will assist with program oversight by working with Marine Corps higher headquarters and other forest and natural resources management program personnel to develop policies, objectives, and to resolve issues.
- You will provide technical and administrative supervision to a fire staff consisting of a Fire Management Specialist, Forestry Technicians, and Forestry Heavy Equipment Operators.
- You will direct and supervise all phases of budget management to assure balance in the section at varying levels of funding.
