Base salary range: $51,332 - $66,732

One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-09 for GS-11 applicants and GS-11 for GS-12 applicants) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized experience at the GS-11 level is defined as: Applying military pay principles and regulations to perform a variety of financial functions and resolve pay and entitlement problems.
Possess experience assisting in the analysis of financial data and processes to identify discrepancies and recommend improvements to operations.
Providing guidance to junior staff and assisting in the implementation of standard operating procedures and internal controls in a financial environment.
Specialized experience at the GS-12 level is defined as: Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of military pay operations, including managing and directing all related functions.
Proven ability to develop, implement, and interpret financial policies, procedures, and regulations.
Experience in leading teams, performing complex analysis of financial operations to resolve errors and improve efficiency, advising senior leadership, and exercising oversight of audits and internal controls to prevent fraud, waste, and abuse.
Time-in-Grade GS-11: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement.
Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-09 or higher grade in Federal Service.
Time-in-Grade GS-12: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement.
Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or higher grade in Federal Service.
