This position serves as the Branch Chief for the Electronic Data Services Branch (EDSB).
The Electronic Data Services Branch (EDSB) is responsible for providing electronic data operation and maintenance services that include updating, maintaining, overseeing and serving as the designated data steward for the patent and trademark data processes and products for customers.
You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position.

OPM Qualifications Standards are available at Information Technology (IT) Management Series 2210 (Alternative A).
Specialized Experience is experience that has equipped applicants with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled.
To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, the next lower grade level is a GS-13.
Specialized experience for this GS-14 position includes: Experience leading and managing an Information Technology (IT) staff; and Experience with Information Technology (IT) data management functions, data engineering and integration employing automation/artificial intelligence (AI), data and database related operations such as data transfers, data merge, data ingestion pipelines, data validation, data analytics, data dissemination, data corrections, data backup and recovery, data archiving, and data standardization processes, user acceptance testing; and Experience with data maintenance functions such as data dissemination, monitoring pipelines, data analysis, troubleshooting, problem solving, root-cause analysis supported by AI driven diagnostics and log intelligence, reconciling discrepancies, executing corrective actions; and Experience with Information Technology (IT) customer support services, such as collaborating on data related requirements, analyzing, validating, correcting and tracking data, triaging data incidents, generating reports and dashboards; and Experience with product management serving as a product owner, scrum master managing information products, services, processes, and procedures.

The physical worksite for this position is located in Alexandria, Virginia.
Presence at the Alexandria, VA campus is required for this role, as it includes on site functions that must be performed in person.
Position may be eligible for situational telework in accordance with agency policy/business unit discretion. The agency currently allows for 52 hours of telework per calendar year.
