Base salary range: $74,441 - $96,770

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a team of contract specialists in the U.S.
Navy's contracting department, where you'll oversee planning, assigning work, and managing complex contracts for ship repairs and other services.
You'll handle everything from researching markets and negotiating deals to ensuring contracts are followed through and compliant with rules.
It's a great fit for someone with strong leadership skills and experience in government contracting who enjoys directing teams and solving procurement challenges.
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY CONTRACT SPECIALIST in the CONTRACTING DEPARTMENT (Code 400) of PSNS and IMF.
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional Contract Specialist leading and performing pre-award and post-award functions for a variety of complex contractual actions to include conducting market research, developing solicitations, evaluating proposals, negotiating terms, and administering contracts and modifications to procure supplies or services for an organization.
