Key Requirements

  • At least one year of specialized experience at GS-12 level or equivalent in implementing environmental policy and program management, including compliance, conservation, or services like hazardous waste handling and spill response
  • Basic professional qualifications in environmental engineering (series 0819), natural resources management/biological sciences (series 0401), or physical sciences (series 1301)
  • Supervisory skills, including providing advice on work and administrative matters, reviewing employee work, and recommending actions
  • Ability to plan, develop, and implement broad environmental protection programs across multiple media for regional installations
  • Experience serving as a representative for Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and ensuring installation-wide compliance
  • Eligibility for ICTAP if applicable, including required documentation for displaced federal employees

Full Job Description

You will serve as a Supervisory Environmental Engineer/ Natural Resources Specialist/ Physical Scientist in the Department of the Navy of NSA Naples, Italy Public Works Department.

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector responsible for implementing environmental policy and providing environmental program management support to include environmental compliance, conservation, and or services (e.g.hazardous waste handling, spill response).
