Summary

To qualify for a Supervisory DM Columbus Site Director, your resume and supporting documentation must support: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position.

To qualify at the GS-15 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector.

Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement.

Creditable specialized experience includes: Supervising and overseeing a wide variety of unique support services such as multimedia services, security, environmental, facilities and industrial engineering, and equipment management.

Serving as a principal advisor in directing, supporting, and implementing policies and objectives related to installation management.

Developing performance plans, evaluating work performance of subordinates, providing recommended ratings of record.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:

  • Directs the accomplishment of responsibilities related to activity operations and services.
  • Promotes the explanation of Columbus Support Services acting as liaison with local command to encourage use of services available.
  • Facilitates the accomplishment of worldwide, national, and regional missions and programs through Interservice Agreements.
  • Directs a site of approximately 260 Appropriated Fund and 147 Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) personnel to include engineers, equipment specialists, (Continued on next bullet)
  • (Cont.) facilities management specialists, environmental protection specialists, program analysts and security specialists.
  • Directs a professional, highly technical, and complex administrative program for a large military industrial installation with more than 27 tenant activities collocated and dislocated from the center.
