The Justice Management Division, Budget Staff oversees the development and execution of the Department of Justice's budget.
We are seeking two Assistant Directors for key leadership roles: Working Capital Fund Group : Directs the budget and execution of the Department's Working Capital Fund, supporting diverse shared services.
Justice Operations, Management and Accountability Group: Manages budget formulation and execution for DOJ Senior Leadership and Management Offices.
To qualify for the position of Supervisory Budget Analyst (Assistant Director), at GS-0560-15 you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below.
Specialize Experience: For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-14 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal Service, which includes: Providing broad administrative and policy direction in the formulation and justification of a budget for an agency; Performing the administrative/human resource management functions relative to the staff supervised; Coordinating/integrating current and long-range financial planning data pertaining to the budgets of an organization.

The Budget Staff has principal departmental responsibility for the development, direction, and execution of Department of Justice's budget.
Budget Staff two Assistant Directors covering the following portfolios: Working Capital Fund (WCF) Account: This non-appropriated revolving fund supports numerous shared services provided to customers across the Department.
The Assistant Director is responsible for the development and execution of the Department's Working Capital Fund as well as engagement with the WCF Board, customers and Division leadership.
Justice Operations, Management, and Accountability Account: This appropriated account funds the personnel and operations of DOJ's Senior Leadership Offices, Senior Management Offices, and the Justice Management Division.
The Assistant Director is responsible for all stages of the congressional budget process as well as overseeing budget execution in the account.
The duties and responsibilities for a Supervisory Budget Analyst, GS-15 generally include, but are not limited to, the following: Coordinate and integrate current and long-range financial planning data for a budget of an organization.
Analyze the potential effects of budgetary actions on program viability and attainment of program activities.
Monitor current information on the status of all operations and maintenance funds to identify actual or potential problem areas.
Perform the administrative and human resource management functions relative to the staff supervised.
