This position is located at Bureau of the Fiscal Service, Deputy Chief Financial Officer, Financial Management Division.
As a Supervisory Budget Analyst, you will serve as the Budget Officer of the Bureau, serving as principal advisor to the Director, Financial Management Division (FMD).
Assists the Director with all budget-related issues. You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.

Specialized experience for the GS-14 is defined as one year of experience at the GS-13 level, or equivalent that is directly related to the position and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Specialized experience includes the following: - Leading a team of financial analysts including planning, directing, coordinating and reviewing their work on program operations; AND - Making recommendations on financial management issues; AND - Assisting in the development of financial policies; AND - Experience preparing and reviewing a fiscal year budget for submission.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks. Major Duties:
As a Supervisory Budget Analyst, you will: Make recommendations concerning financial policies, and assist in the development of financial policies, plans and procedures; deal directly with the Department and other agencies in matters affecting the Bureau; participate in briefings involving the Director, Commissioner and other management officials.
Review and analyze existing systems for budget preparation, execution and financial reporting within the Bureau, develop new systems to meet new requirements and improve streamlines old systems.
Draft memorandums, letters, position papers and analyze establishing and explaining policies and procedures; coordinate policy changes with all affected individuals to ensure consistent understanding and implementation.
Assist the Director in short and long range operational and strategic planning functions.
