Full Job Description

You will serve as a SUPERVISOR in the Business & Financial Mgmt - PAC 58R40 of NAVWARSYSCEN PACIFIC SAN DIEGO CA.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading financial teams in the execution of budget operations; developing and analyzing financial reports using Microsoft Excel and financial management systems to inform strategic decisions; ensuring compliance with financial regulations and policies; advising leadership on financial planning and resource allocation.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

  • You will manage, coach, mentor, supervise, and technically lead a team of 1.2 competency financial personnel in a Navy Working Capital Fund (NWCF) environment.
  • You will be analyzing Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (NERP) and other financial data to monitor and ensure financial resources are used in accordance with budgetary authority, through all the acquisition life cycle phases.
  • You will participate in business and financial reviews that measure performance against plans, objectives, resources and expenditures and makes recommendations based on analysis and evaluations of financial data.
  • You will assess the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the organization and implement business and financial policies and procedures in the development, coordination, and management of Sponsor and Center data calls.
  • You will understand the OMB Circular A-11 Budget document and is able to coordinate and formulate A-11 budget submissions which includes preparation of exhibits reflecting manpower plans, financial conditions, revenue and costs.
