About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S.

Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25.

This position is located at the 780th Military Intelligence Brigade, DET-TX, 782d Military Intelligence Battalion, located in San Antonio, Texas.

Specialized experience is defined as: Utilizing information collected from a variety of Computer Network Defense and Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) resources to identify, analyze, and report events that occur on digital networks; Using Computer Network Exploitation (CNE)/SIGINT analytic skills to identify, assess, report, and/or brief on foreign computer network capabilities, vulnerabilities, and personalities that could pose a threat to U.S.

computers, communications, and operations; identifying, reporting, and maintaining intelligence information in support of Intelligence Requirements; and, providing technical guidance to assigned personnel performing a variety of intelligence, intelligence operations, and Cyberspace Operations support functions.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the federal service (GG/GS-12).

Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations.

This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled.

This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Computer Network Defense Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) Analysis and Production Information Management Leadership Major Duties:

  • Serves as a Cryptologic Cyberspace Operations Specialist, as a Digital Network Exploitation Analyst (DNEA) with the 780th Military Intelligence Brigade, DET-TX, 782d Military Intelligence Battalion.
  • Conducts computer (network and infrastructure) analysis to enable Cyber Warfare effects in support of national and theater intelligence requirements.
  • Leverages information derived from a variety of computer network defense resources to identify events that occur or may occur on computer networks.
  • Utilizes analysis, collection and operations of digital networks to support in the planning of Cyber Warfare activities and Cyberspace Operations (Signals Intelligence/Computer Network Exploitation).
  • Performs initial and advanced analysis to establish target identification and operational patterns.
  • Provides support and information to planning activities regarding threat research and analysis, all-source fusion, threat documentation, defining intelligence requirements, and collection management facilitation.
  • Prepares reviews, evaluates and publishes technical products, time sensitive reports, and event reports.
  • Coordinates with other Cyberspace Operations Specialists to obtain information relating to support in cyberspace, support to collection management initiatives, the planning of operations and goals, and/or initiatives and assessments.
  • Facilitates the timely and accurate identification of staff responsibilities in connection with the execution of Cyberspace Operations.
