This paid summer internship in the City Prosecutor's Office offers high school and college students hands-on exposure to criminal justice careers like prosecution and law enforcement through mentoring, legal research, and tours of city agencies.
It runs for about five to six weeks in July and August, helping participants build responsibility and real-world experience in law-related fields.
It's ideal for motivated young people aged 16-24 from the Long Beach area who are interested in legal work and have good academic standing.
This is a paid summer internship program to provide exposure to law-related fields and careers, such as criminal prosecutor, Law Enforcement Officer, Lab Technicians, and Dispatch Operators. The approximate dates of the internship program are July 1 to August 6, 2026. Applicants will participate in a mentoring and educational program while developing responsibility and experience.Participating in legal seminarsParticipation in legal assignments involving researching and writingTouring various Long Beach agencies involved in the criminal justice processParticipating in group exercises and projectsOther duties as assigned Qualifications Requirements to filePriority is given to Long Beach and Signal Hill residents.
