Requirements

We seek qualified applicants for a Sports Camp Leader position between May and early August to assist with administrative work, program set-up of camps and clinics, and assist with logistics and operations for summer sports tournaments. The Sports Camp Leader will provide support to the Sports Camps and Clinic Coordinators in various job duties to help ensure all programs and tournaments run successfully. The ideal candidate will be passionate, energetic, detail-oriented, and excellent at communicating.


We are currently hiring for the following location(s):
• 750 Miller Drive, Leesburg, VA


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Communicating event details and itinerary with the Sports department staff, Instructors, vendors, and participants.
• Delivering supplies; maintaining an inventory of the sports programs and assisting with program setup for tournaments and special events.
• Using automated systems to create and process reports, inventory lists, and customer surveys, among other clerical and administrative tasks.
• It is possible that other essential duties related to the specific role and department may be performed as required.

This is a $1,000 hiring bonus eligible position.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and six (6) months of supervised programmatic childcare experience.

Applicants who have completed the 10th grade may be considered for a lower grade level position until the completion of high school.

Additional Information

• Must undergo pre-employment, criminal, and fingerprinting background checks.
• First Aid (Infant through Adult)/CPR certifications prior to hire or immediately upon hire.
• Pass TB test within 30 days of hire and each year thereafter.
• Must be willing to attend (up to) 10 hours of paid programmatic training before the summer to enhance skills and knowledge of school-aged childcare and programming.
• Must be physically able to keep up with participants and lift 50 pounds.
