Base salary range: $104,604 - $135,987

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This role involves leading public affairs efforts for the U.S.
Navy, where you'll advise top leaders on communication strategies, oversee team operations, and coordinate large-scale engagement programs to shape the Navy's public image.
It's ideal for experienced communication professionals with a background in strategic planning and team leadership who thrive in high-stakes government environments.
The position requires strong skills in guiding policies and evaluating program success to ensure effective messaging.
You will serve as an Executive Director in the OFFICE OF THE CHIEF OF INFORMATION (CHINFO), THE NAVY'S PUBLIC AFFAIRS HEADQUARTERS in Washington, DC.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience in and knowledge of public affairs.
Experience in and having the ability to lead and advise executive-level leadership on public affairs or strategic communication programs.
Experience in developing, coordinating, and evaluating enterprise-level communication strategies or policies.
Experience providing functional oversight or guidance across public affairs disciplines such as media relations, strategic messaging, visual information, outreach, workforce development, or performance measurement.
