Job Description

Summary

This job is for a store associate at a military commissary, where you'll help customers with shopping, handle sales, and keep the store clean and organized.

It's located overseas, likely in South Korea, and supports military families by providing affordable goods.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of by 60. Add the two percentages.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Clerical Customer Service Electronics Oral Communication Personnel Security and Safety Time in Grade Requirement: Candidates may be advanced without time restriction to positions up to GS-05 if the position to be filled is no more than two grades above the lowest grade the employee held within the preceding 52 weeks under his or her latest non-temporary competitive appointment.

Major Duties:

  • You will work independently or as part of a team with routine commissary tasks.
  • You will be assisting customers with prices or location of items, operating electronic check out systems, and making correct change.
  • You will be response for receiving change fund and check cash drawer.
  • You will review stock levels by checking the aisles to identify items not-in-stock or low-in-stock.
