This position serves as the first line supervisor and manager of the Front-End Department of a Commissary store.
The incumbent is responsible for all aspects of planning, scheduling, coordinating and controlling front end activities and personnel, and controlling all funds received and deposited daily as part of the front-end department operations.

You must meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) qualifications for series 1101 and additional requirements by the announcement closing date.
Your resume must clearly show that you have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least a GS-6. Experience can be under other Federal service pay systems, private sector, or military.
Examples of qualifying specialized experience include: Plans, directs, or assigns work for employees.
Knowledgeable of multiple departments within a grocery store to evaluate work, provide instruction and conduct on the job training for workers.
Carry out daily retail grocery store functions necessary to successfully execute store operations.
You will receive credit for all relevant qualifying experience (paid and unpaid), including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Physical requirements: (1) Long periods of standing, walking, bending, reaching, and similar activities when taking inventory, retrieving items from the warehouse, and stocking shelves.
(2) Lift, push, pull, carry, and handle items weighing up to 40 pounds independently and occasionally over 40 pounds with assistance.
