This job involves advising school districts and education units on improving special education programs, handling complaints, monitoring compliance, and reviewing plans to ensure quality services for students with disabilities across Pennsylvania.
It's a full-time, home-based role where you'll collaborate with various teams to implement changes and advocate for better support.
A good fit would be someone passionate about education equity with hands-on leadership experience in special education administration.

As a Special Education Advisor, you will be responsible for investigating consumer complaints, conducting cyclical monitoring in local education agencies, reviewing and approving of intermediate unit and school district special education plans, and managing additional statewide functions as designated.
In this role, you will serve as the single point of contact within your assigned unit for the Compliance Monitoring and Planning Divisions, completing pre-monitoring arrangements, on-site activities, preparing preliminary reports, as well as reviewing and approving the final report.
Work also involves implementing corrective action plans, monitoring the implementation of court decisions, collecting data, and participating in public meetings for students with disabilities.
You will have the opportunity to collaborate with various divisions, bureaus, departments, and agencies to address concerns related to special education services.
If you are passionate about advocacy, collaboration, and shaping high-quality special education programs, this is your chance to lead with purpose and make a difference every day!
