Summary
This seasonal job with the City of Spokane involves hands-on work collecting and sorting trash and recycling, maintaining equipment like carts and trucks, and participating in community clean-up events.

Full Job Description
NATURE OF WORK:
- Work on refuse/recycling routes which involves lifting, carrying, emptying and sorting of various materials (seasonal personnel are not allowed to drive refuse/recycling trucks)
- Clean, repair and set-up automated refuse and recycling carts
- Load and unload materials in warehouse
- Sweep and clean
- Wash trucks, equipment and carts
- Work on crews for community clean-ups and special events
HOURS OF WORK:
- Monday through Friday, 6:30 am – 3:00 pm; and Saturdays following a major holiday
- 40 hours per week
- This position typically runs from February through July, with the possibility of extension.
