The Department of Human Services (DHS), Bureau of Juvenile Justice Services (BJJS), North Central Secure Treatment Unit is seeking a caring and dedicated Social Worker 2.

As a Social Worker 2, you will coordinate and implement transitional services at North Central Secure Treatment Unit (NCSTU) by ensuring the facility successfully transitions youth back into their community.
You will lead the active process of discharge planning, establish a network of community-based aftercare resources, and conduct follow-ups after youth leave the Youth Development Center/Youth Forestry Camp (YDC/YFC) system facility.
You will also provide consultative services to other YDC/YFC employees, youth, family members, and community agencies.
This role requires thorough understanding of the system goals and objectives as well as a genuine desire to foster secure and therapeutic environments that prepare youth for positive change.
In addition, you will counsel treatment groups about transitional issues, attend court hearings as necessary, and escort residents to and from various activities, clinics, and appointments.
