Requirements

As a Social Worker 1, you will function as a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team and be involved in providing group treatment programs to the patients, as both a primary therapist and backup. Social work responsibilities include the completion of Initial and Annual Assessments, the development of a Treatment Plan with a multidisciplinary team, and the provision of appropriate clinical services. You will serve as a liaison/therapist/resource to families and community agencies.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • The Department of Human Services provides excellent benefits, pay increases, paid leave and holidays, as well as opportunities for career advancement.
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Travel and overtime: as needed.

  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $51,971.00 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • A bachelor's or master’s degree in social work or social welfare.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
