Full Job Description

You will serve as a Social Service Representative in the Cuban Community Assistance Program (CCAP) of NAVSTA GTMO.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Using the knowledge of military community activities, command relationships, and general understanding of internal and external installation functional relationships to establish and maintain effective working relationships for an organization; 2) Evaluating and resolving day-to-day life challenges to service providers and managers on complex or controversial issues; 3) Applying analytical and evaluation methods and techniques to issues and special projects for a command; and 4) Skill in written and verbal communication in both English and Spanish to present materials professionally to large and small groups (i.e., flag officers, civilians).

  • You will mediate conflicts that arise between residents and service providers.
  • You will present community assistance program materials to senior leaders (e.g., flag level officers, civilians).
  • You will complete written assignments for a community assistance program.
