Full Job Description

You will serve as a SHIPYARD INDUSTRIAL OPERATIONS MANAGER 3 in the NORTHWEST REGIONAL MAINTENANCE FACILITY (NWRMC) of PSNS and IMF.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing, managing, and implementing a ship maintenance or modernization program that includes oversight of business plans, planning/production schedules, and financial or budget execution for operational readiness.

  • You will supervise, manage and coordinate the actions and duties for assigned personnel.
  • You will exercise judgment in dealing with a fluctuating workload with limited resources.
  • You will coordinate, supervise and shape all business, planning and execution efforts for the Northwest Regional Maintenance Center (NWRMC) Department of PSNS/IMF to meet Business Plans, the Strategic Plan, and Command Mission, goals and objectives.
  • You will exercise good judgment in determining the proper courses of action, decision making and establishing priorities.
  • You will influence, motivate, and persuade NAVSEA, TYCOM, contractors, senior management, and others in the position of authority to follow a particular course of action.
  • You will independently accomplish assigned duties without specific directions while keeping assigned personnel informed on controversial topics and/or potential problems.
