What you will be doing:

In this position, you will support the overall mission through direct oversight of daily rental Customer Service staff, the daily rental fleet, fuel card electric vehicle payment management, and serves as the primary point of contact for automated key management systems.

You will ensure reservation steps are processed by the rental system and WA State employees have clean, dependable, and well-maintained vehicles to complete their job responsibilities.

You will also oversee facility operational needs and manage alterations projects. You will effectively resolve customer complaints and make recommendations for daily rental fleet replacement plans.

In addition, you will develop training for stakeholders' efficient use of daily rental vehicles used by agency customers and ensure a positive customer relations experience during their interaction with Fleet Operations.

Requirements

Some of what you’ll enjoy doing includes:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Daily Rental Trip automated rental locations and Asset Management reservations and communicate with the vendors
  • Serve as the primary customer and program contact for facility projects at all Fleet locations
  • Closely supervise the installation of Daily Rental Trip automated key management systems at new locations and create plans on how to best implement new automated keybox management system locations
  • Quickly resolve issues with the automated keybox management system hardware or software
  • Ensure vehicles at each rental location are cleaned, inspected, and utilized to operational standards, promoting maximum efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Analyze vehicle use within the loaner and rental fleet and make recommendations on changes or transfers of vehicles within daily rental locations (including maintaining the proper amount and mix of vehicles needed to serve customers, while effectively conserving resources and preventing waste or misuse of vehicles)
  • Resolve complaints, inquiries, billing issues, and any other issues for customers, general public, and government agencies with professionalism and courtesy
  • Manage the working conditions or retrofitting at existing automated keybox locations and the installation of automated key boxes at new locations; provide suggestions for communication plans to customers.
  • Directs CSS3 and CSS2 positions conducting daily duties of answering incoming phone calls, resolving customer concerns, maintaining automated keybox management system hardware, managing the AssetWorks and automated key management systems, managing fuel card orders and replacements, assisting in overseeing delivery/receiving/ and commissioning/decommissioning of fleet vehicles
  • Directs Equipment Technician 1s and Transportation helpers conducting their daily duties of cleaning and checking vehicles at the Fones Rd and outside daily rental locations (i.e.

    Tumwater, Plaza Garage, DOH, etc.), maintaining the automated key management system hardware, moving cars for the shop, etc.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer automated key management trainings
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for fleet-owned electric vehicle charging stations and charging cards
  • Work closely with other Fleet Operations sections to develop and/or modify curriculum for onboarding new drivers and periodic refresher training for existing customers

Qualifications


REQUIRED:

[OPTION 1]

Six years of experience providing assistance to customers regarding inquiries, complaints, or problems.

AND

One year of fleet rental or rental management experience (experience may be gained concurrently)


[OPTION 2]

An Associate's degree

AND

Four years of experience providing assistance to customers regarding inquiries, complaints, or problems;

AND

One year of fleet rental or rental management experience (experience may be gained concurrently)



[OPTION 3]

A Bachelor's degree

AND

Two years of progressive experience providing assistance to customers regarding inquiries, complaints, or problems

AND

One year of fleet rental or rental management experience (experience may be gained concurrently)



AND

Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.


***Additional relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis



PREFERRED:

  • At least one year of experience leading or supervising others
  • One year of experience maintaining the Agile FleetCommander keybox rental system or a similar ride-sharing system
  • Education, training, or certification in business or fleet management
  • Practical experience in business analytics and/or fleet management
  • Experience coordinating the rental service operations of several locations, manned and unmanned
