SHIPBUILDING SPECIALIST

Full Job Description

You will serve as a Shipbuilding Specialist in the Waterfront Operations of FWD DEPLOYED REG MAINT CTR DET ROTA Spain.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: 1) Recommending alternatives to assist in solving technical problems associated with all facets of ship maintenance.

2) Developing work specifications, detailed reports and statements of work to support the planning of shipbuilding, ship repair, and modernization availabilities.

3) Reviewing and invoking technical requirements to ensure compliance with appropriate shipbuilding procedures, contracts and specifications during the planning and execution stage.

4) Providing oversight of shipboard production work to ensure projects are completed according to schedule, work specification and quality.

• You will analyze condition found reports to evaluate request for contract modifications and change in orders.
• You will conduct analysis of industrial control systems to enable accurate assessment of adjustments (e.g., design, operation, maintenance).
• You will recommend solutions to problems associated with shipbuilding.
• You will monitor contractor's performance to determine compliance with contract specifications.
• You will compile written reports to provide status or project updates.
