Full Job Description

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Defense Sexual Assault Program Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

About the Position: Serves as SHARP Program Support Services Specialist, responsible for planning and coordinating a variety of services functions that are principally work-supporting.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing, implementing, and evaluating business processes utilizing knowledge of sexual harassment/assault (SHARP) programs; managing a variety of administrative service operations (e.g., reports, personnel, records, travel, events, supply, etc.) necessary for efficient and effective organizational mission accomplishment.

Major Duties:

  • Communicate administrative policy, goal, mission, and philosophy to all levels of organization using a comprehensive knowledge of written and verbal communication.
  • Prioritize administrative issues based on the unit’s overall mission and instruct leadership and subordinate offices on the full range of administrative matters in order to achieve a high degree of compliance.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with counterparts throughout MACOM and DA level to ensure effective scheduling coordination to benefit unit leadership and mission accomplishment.
  • Provide for the improvement and simplification of reporting requirements through analysis of data reported, analysis of the requirements and methods for preparation of reports, and assuring that reporting requirements are met.
  • Utilize automated systems to review and authorize reimbursement of expenditures for items such as training, travel and transportation.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of mission requirements and develop travel options consistent with the Joint Travel Regulation, Defense Travel Guidance and personal preferences.
  • Manages and reviews the SHARP Program’s standard office configurations, i.e. work space for visitors, conference room requirements, appropriate office furniture, and requirements for communications, copiers, fax, VTC, storage, etc.
