This job involves helping kids and families at a public library by running fun activities like story times, crafts, and STEM programs, while providing customer service and managing technology needs.
It also includes promoting library events, working with community groups, and stepping in as a leader when the manager is away.
A good fit would be someone creative and outgoing who loves working with youth, has experience in libraries or education, and is comfortable with evening and weekend shifts.

The Senior Library Service Specialist (Youth) will:
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
(1) One year of professional/paraprofessional experience in library, information services, or education is required.
Associate’s degree and (3) three years of professional/paraprofessional experience in library, information services, or education
OR
(5) Five years professional or paraprofessional experience in library, information services, or education may be substituted for the education requirement.
Comfortable working with diverse populations.
Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills Ability to work in a collaborative team environmentExperience in working with data and preparing statistical reports.
Experience in training staff. Experience using the MS Office Suite and OneDrive and electronic devices such as e-readers and tablets and other technologies.
Bilingual (Spanish and English) is preferred.
