DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Senior IT Professional – Applications will provide production support to business-critical applications.
Daily duties include proactive monitoring, troubleshooting and quick resolution of critical incidents.
Develop/troubleshoot custom application and interface using programming languages within the .NET stack. Serve as the expert liaison to the business or functional area.
Work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications systems analysis and support activities.
Coordinate meetings and requirement gathering sessions for the support activities and enhancement requests.
Ensure customers’ business requirements are fully understood, documented, communicated, and acted upon. Coordinate change management and release activities.
Provide mentoring and training to other team members as needed. Excellent written and verbal presentation skills with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
Under direction of the IT Lead, performs a variety of information technology related development management and support activities for any assigned department/division.
*You must be eligible to validate contract work experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS
There are no major sources of discomfort, i.e., essentially normal office environment with acceptable lighting, temperature, and air conditioning. Significant time spent using computer displays, keyboard, and mouse.
EDUCATION
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management and Information Systems (MIS) or a closely related field.
Usually has advanced technical certifications that demonstrate mastery of a specialized application.
EXPERIENCE
At least six (6) years of technology experience supporting applications.
Advanced certifications and/or greater than six (6) years applicable experience may be substituted for up to two (2) years of the education requirement.
