Salary by Location: Norfolk, VA: $90,838 - $140,426 Washington Navy Yard, DC: $102,415 - $158,322 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 pay band (or GS-11 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector conducting complex, comprehensive investigations and compliance reviews regarding violations of federal regulations, laws, and policies within an agency or organization.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

• You will serve as senior investigator within CNRMC Executive Department and report to the Command Review and Inspections Officer (CRIO).
• You will independently plan and conduct complex, non-criminal investigations involving alleged violations of agency regulations.
• You will identify and gather pertinent evidence, analyze data, and reconcile conflicting information from various sources.
• You will apply investigative and interview techniques sufficient to serve as a senior level investigator, write reports and make recommendations to the Command Review and Inspections Officer on Fraud, Waste, Mismanagement, and Hotline Investigations.
• You will articulate findings and recommendations in a clear concise manner, both in writing and orally, in the form of briefings, providing command hierarchy with a useful tool for defining and managing programs and/or addressing issues.
• You will analyze large volumes of data, identify trends, and develop comprehensive investigative reports detailing findings, conclusions, and recommendations for administrative action or prosecution.
