Job Description

Summary

This role involves leading a team of technicians to maintain and repair electronic gaming machines in a military casino setting, including troubleshooting issues, performing installations, and ensuring smooth operations.

It requires hands-on experience with gaming equipment and the ability to train others while following strict regulations.

A good fit would be someone with technical repair skills, leadership experience in a team environment, and a background in electronics or gaming technology.

Key Requirements

  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance, internal controls, and standard operating procedures for gaming operations
  • Strong communication skills to facilitate interactions with customers, personnel, and management

Specialized experience in electronic gaming machine and related equipment repair including installation, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and instructing on electronic equipment.

Specialized experience includes employment as an electronic gaming machine technician at a casino, an electronic gaming machine manufacturer, or in a gaming route operation.

Specialized experience may also be attained through completion of a recognized gaming school, or work in an industry-related field that requires knowledge of basic machine components, networking, and video monitor repair.

OR Successful completion of (a) all the requirements for a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or electronics technology, or (b) 3 years of study in an accredited (by the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology, Inc.

(ABET) curriculum in electronics, or (c) a full 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree that included major study or at least 24 semester hours in any combination of courses such as engineering, physical science, technology, or mathematics.

At least 12 of the 24 semester hours must have been in electronics courses.

In addition to above, the incumbent must have a demonstrated working knowledge of IT components and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Major Duties:

Leads, trains, evaluates, and participates with a team of technicians to operate and maintain electronic gaming machines and all supporting equipment for route based, coin-free gaming operations.

Team members also perform cash collections and cash-dispenser fills, troubleshoot and solve problems, and process reportable jackpots in accordance with operational and regulatory requirements.

Utilizes reports and data to administer an efficient and effective preventive maintenance routine. Tracks recurring problems and oversees cash and card dispenser balances.

Briefs technicians daily on pending technical issues and resolution. Provides training and guidance to technicians on troubleshooting procedures and assists in diagnosing more difficult problems.

Trains technicians on operational duties ensuring uniformity and compliance with standard operating procedures and applicable regulations.

Furnishes guidance in application of new or revised procedures and directives. Supports and ensures the integrity of applicable internal control systems.

Works with business partners and customers in a cooperative and courteous manner and provides limited technical training to location personnel.

Facilitates communication between customers, location personnel, technicians, and senior management. Schedules and executes machine and location installations, machine moves, and conversions.

Configures electronic gaming machines and supporting equipment. Tests machines for proper configuration and functionality.

Utilizes event logs, diagnostics, system data, and/or the methodical replacement of components to troubleshoot equipment and isolate causes of problems.

Repairs or replaces defective components, performs minor server maintenance, and performs routine board repairs.

Ensures that components/subassemblies are adjusted and aligned to the manufacturer's tolerances in accordance with organizational guidance.

Briefs Field Office Manager daily, acts as Field Office Manager in their absence, and provides periodic assessment of technician performance.
