The Employment Banking and Revenue IT Delivery Center Solutions Management - Revenue Lottery Insurance and Banking and Securities Division, is on the lookout for an experienced and ambitious Senior Applications Developer to complete the team.

This non-supervisory position involves Internet application design and development in the Web and Client/Server Section, with responsibility for all phases of the application development and maintenance process.

Requirements

This position requires in-depth technical knowledge of systems analysis and design, as well as proficiency and familiarity with the multiple programming languages used for Web applications development, relational databases, robotic process automation and production server environments.

The incumbent is required to have knowledge in the following products and technologies: Visual Basic.Net, Java Script, VBScript, ASP.Net, SQL Server, IIS, and XML.

In addition, the incumbent will be required to adhere to the guidelines and standards set forth by the bureau and division.


This position manages development of applications within assigned systems and functions as lead developer on highly complex projects.

You can expect to provide project direction, prepare project plans and schedules, and ensure effective resource utilization and security compliance.

Work includes monitoring assigned projects to ensure that tasks are performed according to schedules.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours: Flexible schedule, can start either 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM with 30 or 60-minute lunch, Monday - Friday.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, two days per week in office.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as an Applications Developer 2 or Computer Programmer 4 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Five years of information technology experience that includes three years of experience in applications development or applications maintenance; or
  • Three years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, and an associate’s degree in any information technology field; or
  • One year of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, and a bachelor's degree in any information technology field; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

This position will have access to Federal Tax Information (FTI) and is subject to the provisions of IRS Publication 1075 (Pub 1075) which requires you to pass an enhanced background check prior to beginning employment.
