Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves managing secure communication materials for the Navy, including handling, storing, and training others on sensitive items to keep information safe.
It also includes administrative tasks like budgeting, inventory, and reporting security issues.

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following; 1.) Developing local policy and implementing instructions, 2.) Monitoring and maintaining all command Communications Security (COMSEC) materials in regards to proper storage and physical security, 3.) Training all required personnel on proper handling of COMSEC materials, 4.) Interpreting policies at a higher organizational level or national level, 5.) Submitting security clearence investigations for all staff and students, 6.) Utilizing a varitey of security equipment and devices, and 7.) Providing technical advise in reference to COMSEC for classified and unclassified research programs, security operations and procedures.
