About the Position: Serves as a Security Specialist for the US Army Joint Counter-UAS Office, Executivie Division, as an expert in the development of a security program for facilities, personnel, and programs.

GS-12 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includesperforming personnel security program functions including conducting security inspections or compliance reviews and applying security policy or guidance.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

GS-13 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing a Personnel Security program; conducting security inspections and compliance reviews; administering local policy and written technical guidance; and leading security specialists on complex security matters.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

GS-12: Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

GS-13: Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).

Major Duties:

  • Conduct review and analysis of physical security plans and survey reports for compliance with existing policies and procedures.
  • Ensure Operation Security (OPSEC) compliance, with functional evaluations, reviews, and all inspections to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
  • Develop and present a comprehensive organizational security briefing as part of the orientation provided by all new employees and administrators.
  • Ensure that all assigned employees and contractors have the appropriate security clearance, eligibility and access in place.
  • Advise on planning for analysis and implementation of organizational security processes and functions.
