Base salary range: $74,441 - $96,770
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-11. Advanced degree + significant experience.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves overseeing security for highly classified Special Access Programs in the Navy, including managing physical and information security, training personnel, and conducting inspections across various commands.
A good fit would be someone with experience in government or military security roles who is detail-oriented, good at communicating with teams, and comfortable handling sensitive classified materials.
You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST (SAP) in the WARFIGHTING REQUIREMENTS AND ASSESSMENT (N8) of COMNAVSURFLANT.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience and working knowledge of administering and supporting all aspects of the DoW and DoN Special Access Programs (SAP).
Experience coordinating across all TYCOM Subordinate commands (CONUS and OCONUS) in the implementation, execution, and control of all SAP-related physical, personnel, and information security matters.
Experience practicing exceptional customer service and ability to communicate across multiple echelons within the performance of their duties.
