This position is part of the Agency Force Protection, Government Publishing Office in Washington, District of Columbia.
To qualify for the Information Security Specialist, PG - 0080 - 13 , you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the PG-12 or higher in the federal service.
Specialized experience includes: Identifying, assessing, and managing operational risk factors. Adjudicating levels of classification for existing and proposed information.
Recommending actions for personnel access, clearance eligibility, and safeguarding classified information.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
