Summary

Full Job Description

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base Facilities & the Major Range and Test Facilities Base to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

About the Position: This position serves as a Security Guard at Pine Bluff Arsenal in Pine Bluff Arkansas.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

Specialized Experience: Specialized experience is defined as one year of experience at the GS- 05 level or equivalent with a federal, state, municipal, local, or private protective organization that involved the protection of property against such hazards as fire, theft, damage, accident, or trespass; or maintaining order and protecting life.

Such experience must have provided a knowledge of protective systems and techniques. Major Duties:

  • Vetting of visitors entering an installation.
  • Incident Response: Respond to crisis or urgent situations including accidents; man-made, biological, chemical, radiological, or natural disasters; or other incidents that could result in harm to people, property, or the environment.
  • Security Equipment Operation: Operate security-related equipment or devices (both manual and automated).
  • Physical Security: Apply requirements for equipping and securing government and contractor facilities to guard against unauthorized access, identify suspicious activities, and ensure continuity of operations.
