Full Job Description

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD, Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

About the Position: USASOC Enterprise Guard Force, Fort Liberty, North Carolina. Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience with working primarily assisting with working in a Federal, State, municipal, local or private organization that involves the protection of property against such hazards as fire, theft, damage, accident, or trespass.

Maintain order, protecting life, writing and reviewing incident reports and responding to emergency situations and security breaches.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).

Major Duties:

  • Ensure the physical security of the building and property of and the protection and safety of personnel.
  • Provide protection to VIPs, to include General Officers, foreign dignitaries and high-ranking members of the Department of Defense.
  • Perform dispatcher duties involving passing of information and directions to other Officers on patrol assignments.
  • Exercise responsibility for the security of secure facilities, adjoining and disparate facilities and other areas housing.
