Base salary range: $37,764 - $49,094
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-5. Bachelor's degree + some experience.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves supporting security operations in a Navy installation by handling paperwork, managing supplies, and using computers for administrative tasks to keep things running smoothly and securely.

No advanced degrees are needed, but prior experience in similar administrative roles is key.
You will serve as a Security Assistant (Office Automation) in the Force Protection Division of COMNAVREGSW SDIEGO.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Preparing and/or maintaining security documents and records; 2) Procuring and/or managing supplies to ensure sufficient supplies and compliance with regulations; 3) Analyzing administrative functions to evaluate efficiency and make recommendations for improvements; 4) Utilizing office automation software to prepare reports in the correct format.
