Summary

This job involves working in a Navy visitor control center in Panama City, Florida, handling administrative tasks like managing security files, processing passes for visitors and vehicles, and providing customer service to resolve issues.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a SECURITY ASSISTANT (OFFICE AUTOMATION) in the VISITOR CONTROL CENTER (VCC) of NAVSUPPACT PANAMA CITY SEC DET.

This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Maintaining files on physical security violations for information verification; 2) Routing desk journal incident reports to appropriate personnel; 3) Scheduling traffic violators for traffic court hearing; and 4) Maintaining appointment calendars for the Security Officer and Operations Officer.

NOTE: This experience must be fully demonstrated in your resume to be considered for this position.

  • You will input data accurately into the command's personnel security program database to ensure that all required Security forms are verified for completion.
  • You will process requests for the issuance of vehicle decals, temporary passes, contractor or vendor passes, or visitor passes.
