This job involves working in a Navy visitor control center in Panama City, Florida, handling administrative tasks like managing security files, processing passes for visitors and vehicles, and providing customer service to resolve issues.
It supports security operations by maintaining records, scheduling hearings, and entering data accurately.
A good fit would be someone with office experience, strong typing skills, and attention to detail who enjoys helping people in a structured government environment.
You will serve as a SECURITY ASSISTANT (OFFICE AUTOMATION) in the VISITOR CONTROL CENTER (VCC) of NAVSUPPACT PANAMA CITY SEC DET.
This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Maintaining files on physical security violations for information verification; 2) Routing desk journal incident reports to appropriate personnel; 3) Scheduling traffic violators for traffic court hearing; and 4) Maintaining appointment calendars for the Security Officer and Operations Officer.
