Summary

This job is for a secretary role in the U.S.

About the Position: Incumbent ensures that the procedures and administration control of the PM responsibilities are accomplished effectively, smoothly, orderly and that administrative details are not overlooked, allowing the PM to concentrate on professional and managerial duties.

The effectiveness of NOHC support provided to all USACE Districts is affected by the degree that the NOHC runs smoothly.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Administration.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18.

Add the two percentages.

Major Duties:

  • Provides administrative guidance to the Section Managers Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene.
  • Serves as Secretary to the Program Manager of the National Occupational Health Center (NOHC). Maintains adequate tracking records of office property being used on-site or remotely.
  • Disseminates information on pertinent personnel rules and regulations.
  • Provides the originator of the correspondence the information pertaining to corrections when applicable.
  • Serves as Government Purchase Card (GPC) Holder.
