This position provides management support to the post commander and secretarial support to the sergeants, detective sergeants, and troopers. The position will perform such functions as typing, filing, answering phones, recordkeeping, and mail processing.

The Michigan State Police (MSP) is a full-service policing agency with statewide jurisdiction, providing over 60 different services either directly to Michigan residents or in support of other law enforcement agencies. The MSP personnel most visible to the public are the uniform troopers whose primary responsibilities include traffic enforcement, crime prevention and investigation, and community engagement and service.

ExperienceSecretary 7Two years of office experience involving administrative support practices, including one year equivalent to 6-level administrative support experience.?
Secretary E8Three years of office experience involving administrative support practices, including one year equivalent to experienced-level administrative support work or equivalent to a Secretary 7 or Legal Secretary 7.
