To qualify for this position at the GS-09 grade level, you must possess some of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors).
This experience includes activities such as: Law enforcement or investigative work; archaeological or historical preservation work; forestry or fire management work in a park, recreation or conservation area; leading others in performing boat inspections for aquatic invasive species or other resource permitting activities; management assistant or program specialist work involving the development and implementation of policy related to protection, conservation, or management or park areas or similar operations.
You must include hours per week worked.
-OR- EDUCATION: Successful completion of at least two (2) full academic years (36 semester hours) of progressively higher-level graduate education, or a master's, or equivalent graduate degree in one of the following fields: natural resource management, natural sciences, earth sciences, history, archeology, anthropology, park and recreation management, law enforcement/police science, social sciences, museum sciences, business administration, public administration, behavioral sciences, sociology, or other closely related subjects pertinent to the management and protection of natural and cultural resources.

For example, six (6) months of specialized experience (50%), plus 27 semester hours of directly related graduate level college study from an accredited institution (50% of the qualifying education) equals 100% of this requirement.

Major Duties:
Supervise personnel conducting watercraft inspection and decontamination as part of a park wide aquatic invasive species monitoring and prevention program.
Coordinate and supervise volunteers and agency partners associated with the aquatic invasive species monitoring and prevention program.
Facilitating visitor contacts to enhance public understanding of the threat of aquatic nuisance species and the role of the public in park resource protection and supervising others conducting this task.
Encourage visitor behavior consistent with resource use and management of park resources in support of the NPS mission and supervising others conducting this task.
