No prior experience is needed for lifeguards if you pass the swim test and get certified, but supervisory roles suit those 18+ with leadership skills.
SEASONAL- AQUATICS POOL LIFEGUARD
Training Dates March 7th and 8th (non-paid).
Under general supervision, the lifeguard has the responsibilities of maintaining order by preventing accidents through the enforcement of policies, rules, regulations, and ordinances governing the conduct of patrons.
Lifeguards are also responsible for monitoring for potential hazards or unsafe conditions, providing first aid to patrons, public relations, and all other duties as necessary or required.
This position requires weekend and holiday work.
Must be able to swim 300 yards non-stop using only the free or breaststroke; be able to tread water without using hands for two (2) minutes; be able to retrieve a 10-pound brick from a depth of 10 feet.
Background, drug screen, and ARC certification is required. Minimum age requirement 15 years old.
The hourly rate for this position is:
SEASONAL- AQUATICS - POOL MANAGER AND ASSISTANT POOL MANAGER
This is technical work at the working supervisor level in overseeing the daily operations of aquatic programs, ensuring safety of staff and patrons, and maintenance of facility swimming pools.
The work requires the ability to supervise pool staff, knowledge of techniques, methods, procedures, and safety practices used to operate public swimming pools.
Assigns, monitors, reviews and evaluates the work of subordinates. Applicants must be 18 years+.
The hourly rate for these positions are:
SEASONAL- AQUATICS - DISTRICT COORDINATOR
Assist supervisor in checking on the daily operations for their allotted sites (approximately 10-12 per District Coordinator).
As well as assist supervisor in collecting all paperwork, submit a weekly report of all issues and resolutions handled during the week.
Each position will work 40 hours per week for 10 weeks (season) and 12 hours per week for 6 weeks (Pre-season and Post Season). Applicants must be 18 years+.
The hourly rate for this position is: $17.00
