Base salary range: $88,520 - $115,079

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading teams to design, build, run, and maintain complex computer networks and IT systems for a naval research command, including managing projects from start to finish and handling vendor contracts.
It's ideal for experienced IT professionals with strong leadership skills who enjoy guiding technical teams through big changes like moving to cloud systems.
Candidates should have a background in network management and be comfortable making high-level decisions in a fast-paced government environment.
You will serve as a SCIENTIST in the NETWORKS BRANCH Code 82300 of NAVWARSYSCEN PACIFIC SAN DIEGO CA.
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band ND-04 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leads the design, operation, and sustainment of commands networks and enterprise IT; directing multidisciplinary teams, guiding enterprise architecture and cloud transitions, evaluating network solutions, and overseeing IT procurement, contracts, and vendor performance.
