Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-10. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves working as a scientist for the Navy to develop, maintain, and secure systems that help with positioning, navigation, and timing, like GPS technology, using advanced computer science to solve engineering challenges.
You'll lead projects, manage resources, and ensure these systems are reliable and protected from cyber threats.

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band ND-03 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Maintaining Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) systems and/or supporting hardware/software for PNT sensors, systems, and/or associated simulation and test equipment.
