This role provides expert nursing consultation, education, and technical assistance to schools, childcare centers, local health jurisdictions, health care providers, state partners, and coalitions across Washington.
Your work ensures communities have accurate, timely, and practical guidance on immunization requirements, clinical practices, and vaccine-preventable disease prevention.

Expectations and Responsibilities
The Ideal Candidate
You are a skilled public health nurse with deep knowledge of immunization schedules, forecasting, practices and experience working with schools, child care, and clinical partners.
You have an enhanced understanding and experience with nursing informatics, working with reporting programs.
You excel at explaining complex guidance clearly, building strong relationships, and offering sound clinical recommendations.
You’re proactive, collaborative, and committed to ensuring communities have the information they need to protect against vaccine-preventable diseases.
Location and Flexibility
We value work-life balance and offer the convenience of remote work! This position will give you the option to work from home or from the closest DOH facility.
Attending in-person events or working in the office is rarely required and would be scheduled in advance.
This is a remote home-based position available to applicants residing anywhere in Washington State, as well as those living near the Oregon/Washington border and the Idaho/Washington border.
Required Qualifications
Experience may have been gained through paid or unpaid activities. Please ensure any relevant experience defined below is outlined in your cover letter, resume, and/or applicant profile.
Option 1: Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of management or consultative experience in a health services program or related field.
Option 2: Six (6) years of management or consultative experience in a health services program or related field.
