This entry-level rigger helper position in the Navy involves assisting experienced riggers with lifting, moving, and positioning heavy equipment and materials using ropes, pulleys, and other gear, often in a historical or preservation context like making old-style covers and artifacts.
It starts with simple tasks under close supervision and progresses to more independent work through on-the-job training.
A good fit would be someone motivated to learn manual labor skills, follow directions well, and interested in hands-on trades without needing prior advanced experience.
