Job Description
This position is responsible for the coordination, development, implementation, and marketing of educational and promotional materials and events, and providing community engagement in support of the Tax Commissioner’s community engagement plans and strategies. Additionally, the position will coordinate the assessment and evaluation of educational and promotional programs and events, and edit and proof departmental flyers, brochures, press releases, media advisories and other documents.

Essential Duties
  • Create marketing materials
  • Social media content creation, campaign content creation, increasing engagement through unearned media using creative presentation of content
  • Utilizes and operates various computer programs and databases to develop training and marketing material and track program operations
  • Coordinates activities with other agencies, volunteers, community members, stakeholders, and elected officials
  • Proactively handles the operation of community engagement, including scheduling events, monitoring expenditures, providing tours, and ensuring maintenance is performed
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Grade
The grade for this position is C41(1). Salary will be dependent on education and experience.

Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in marketing or a related field, AND
  • Five years' experience developing and publicizing community programs, OR
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
