Job Description

Are you ready to help shape the future of South Carolina's workforce?

Our Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment (RESEA) Analyst will report to the Unemployment Insurance (UI) Division located in the Columbia UI Hub.

In compliance with Federal program requirements, the RESEA Analyst is responsible for providing claimants with quality reemployment services for the purpose of assisting them to quickly reenter the workforce and reduce the duration of filing for UI benefits.

The RESEA Analyst provides one-on-one assessment of continuing UI eligibility.

Reemployment services include the development of an individual reemployment plan, resume assistance, provision of labor market information, quality job referrals, Wagner-Peyser enrollment, and WIOA orientation.

The RESEA Analyst contributes to the integrity of the UI Benefits Program by conducting quality eligibility reviews and adjudication to reduce improper payments.

This role requires a dependable and customer service-oriented individual with excellent listening skills, sound judgment, and initiative.

Key Responsibilities

The RESEA Analyst will:

  • Conduct in-person UI eligibility assessments on a rotating schedule as defined by the RESEA program.
  • Review work search activities, provide orientation to one-stop center services, make job referrals, create IEPs, and assist in resume creation.
  • Conduct system-generated and RESEA-related UI eligibility reviews, identify and adjudicate issues on claims.
  • Refer qualified RESEA applicants to jobs through SC Works, ensuring accuracy and suitability of referrals.
  • Utilize SCUBI, SCWOS, SUITS, Salesforce, Manage Engine, and other workforce programs to serve RESEA participants

Requirements

Education and Experience

A High School Diploma and relevant program experience. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required program experience.

Additional Requirements

Knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, and procedures relevant to Unemployment Insurance and the administration of the RESEA Program. Ability to exercise judgment and discretion. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in person, and in written and oral forms.
