Job Duties:

  • The Case Worker Assistant provides services to remedy abuse, neglect and exploitations of self-neglect of adults or children unable to protect themselves. Assist Human Services Specialist II's with providing casework services.

  • Provide or arranges transportation to resources in the community as part of the social service side plan.

  • Participate as a member of professional team to plan services clients.

  • Make requests for educational, medical, dental, law enforcement, etc. records.

  • Make referrals to service providers, family group conferencing, Seneca Search, etc.

  • Assist with the completion of various packets within the agency. Responsible for filing incoming case files on file shelves, pulling outgoing files as requested, maintain separation of case files by program and purging closed case files as required for destruction and archives.

  • Assist with the transportation of children.

  • Assist with child and family visitation and teach appropriate parenting and household management skills.

  • Assist with other administrative support functions to include drafting correspondences, copying, faxing, email, etc.

  • To ensure personal identifying information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared and disposed. To protect the agency networks and applications by safeguarding systems, equipment and data.

  • Perform Red Cross Shelter duty or other emergency shelter duty/ services as directed.

Requirements

A High School Diploma or equivalent. Related experience is preferred.
