Job Duties:

  • The Adult Protective Services Team Leader supervises Adult Protective Services (APS) Case Managers in the following county or counties: Greenville. Will assist with other counties with APS as needed.


Provides supervision and guidance to APS staff at the county level by coordinating workloads and responsibilities to include critical staffing and case reviews of assessments, plans, and tools in CAPSS while respecting self-determination of the vulnerable adult.

Will assist with other counties with APS as needed.


  • Supervises staff by using monthly APS Batch Reports and other pertinent data. Ensures that staff meet APS goals while maintaining the well-being of vulnerable adults who are being served by the agency.

  • Establishes and maintains effective working and harmonious relationships with individuals, families and representatives of other professional disciplines.

  • Assesses the vulnerable adult's ability to secure long-term services to include but not limited to: redirecting funds, securing a guardian or conservator, filling out appropriate documents for emergency services and connecting to probate or family court.

  • Coordinates and serves as the liaison with the State Office of the Adult Advocacy Division and ensures that reports and paperwork are completed within time frames established by APS policy including but not limited to Critical Incident Reports, Medicaid Reports and Emergency Funds paperwork.

  • Performs Red Cross shelter duty or other emergency shelter duty/services as directed.

  • Ensures that Personal Identifying Information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared and disposed. Protects the agency networks and applications by safeguarding systems, equipment and data.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

A Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Public Administration or a related field and three (3) years experience in Human Services or Social Services Programs.

A Masters Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Public Administration or a related field and one (1) year of experience in Human Services or Social Services Programs.
